ACTS Academy was founded in 1979 with a vision to establish a humble and innovative theological training centre combined with vocational training to equip students to become self reliant Christian workers in India. What began as a small theological training programme has grown into a leading institution serving Christian students across India and South Asia.

Who can apply to ACTS Academy?

ACTS Academy of Higher Education is committed to the holistic formation of students, nurturing students towards personal-spiritual and ministerial formation, along with academic excellence, to become effective influencers in the church and society. Thus, ACTS Academy envisions establishing a community of people learning to live, who are working witnesses for Christ across all spheres of society.
Hence an applicant to ACTS Academy needs be a born again believer in Jesus Christ; has a commitment to the call of God; and willingness to serve people anywhere in society.

What are the eligibility criteria for different programs?

For Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
▸ Successful completion of a University Undergraduate Degree (Bachelor’s degree in any stream).
▸ Applicants who have ATA accredited B.Th. Degree with B grade or above are eligible to join directly to second year M. Div. Study and required to complete 20 courses with 60 Credit Hours for two years in residential mode or three years in Online mode).
▸ Applicants who have Non-ATA B.Th. Degree shall pass a qualifying Examination with B+ grade.
▸ Applicants above 30 years of age without an Undergraduate Degree but have completed matriculation shall pass a qualifying Examination with B+ grade.

For Master of Theology (M.Th.)
▸ Applicants with an ATA-accredited M.Div. degree or its equivalent, with a minimum B grade. The M.Th. programme duration is two years for the residential mode and three years for the online mode.
▸ ATA Accredited M.Div. Degree holders with B- Grade shall pass a qualifying examination and secure B+ Grade to qualify for admission to ATA M.Th. Degree programme.
▸ Applicants who have Non accredited Three-Year M.Div. Degree with B grade or above and have completed 90 Credit Hours, shall undergo one-year Pre- M.Th. study and complete ten subjects with B+ aggregate Grade and shall pass a qualifying Examination with B+ grade to qualify for admission to M.Th. Degree programme.

What is the admission process?

▸ Learners will send the online application along with all the required documents.
▸ Admission committee will process it and send the admission letter with required details.
▸ Once the admission letter is received, candidate must pay the admission fee and confirm the admission.

Is there an entrance exam?

There is no entrance exam to join ACTS Academy; admissions are based on your application, eligibility, and a personal interview.

What documents are required for admission?

All educational certificates (Class 10, Class 12, Bachelor’s and Master’s), and, for students who has completed an ATA programme in 2010 or earlier, a reference letter from the previous ATA college.

Can international students apply?

Yes, international students are welcome to apply, subject to government regulations.

Are there age/gender restrictions?

There are no age/gender restrictions for applying; candidates of all ages and genders are welcome to submit an application.

Can I transfer credits from other ATA accredited institutions?

Yes, 40% of the total credits earned from the same programme can be transferred from other ATA colleges.

Are installment options available for fee payment?

Yes, installment options are available for paying the fee, and details can be discussed during the admissions process.

Is financial aid/scholarship available?

▸ For residential programme, college will help to find work opportunities in nearby places.
▸ For Online students no scholarship/ financial aid is provided.

Are there discounts for pastors/missionaries?

The management does not offer any discount on fee for pastors / missionaries.

Is hostel accommodation available?

Yes, we have separate accommodation available for Men & Women.

What is campus life like at ACTS Academy?

ACTS Academy operates within a spacious 30,000 sq. ft. facility, encompassing classrooms, a library, a computer lab, faculty offices, an administrative block, a student lounge, a chapel hall, and a cafeteria. Additionally, separate hostel blocks for men and women are provided, along with a fully equipped kitchen.

ACTS Academy provides a range of recreational facilities, including indoor games like table tennis, carroms, and chess, as well as outdoor playgrounds for sports activities. Additionally, the institution hosts sports tournaments annually. Moreover, students can participate in various co-curricular activities such as cultural nights, picnics, study tours, talent nights, and music festivals, enhancing their overall educational experience beyond the classroom.

Are there chapel services?

Yes, there are regular chapel services.

Does ACTS provide placement assistance?

For residential students, ACTS Academy will help to connect with the Alumni Association to find work/ministry opportunities.
