ACTS Academy was founded in 1979 with a vision to establish a humble and innovative theological training centre combined with vocational training to equip students to become self reliant Christian workers in India. What began as a modest theological training programme has grown, with a dynamic vision, into a leading institution serving Christian students across India and South Asia.

Our Founder’s Vision:
Dr. Ken Gnanakan envisioned an institution that would:

From Modest Beginnings:
What started with 6 students in Koramangala, Bengaluru, India has grown into a dynamic institution serving hundreds of students. We’ve remained true to our founding conviction: theological education must transform the whole person, equipping them to serve with Compassion, Commitment and Competence.
We’ve maintained our core mission of Raising dynamic servant influencers who transform society. Today, our alumni are leading churches, theological institutions, NGOs, and ministries across India and globally, living out the vision our founder cast four decades ago.
Leadership at ACTS Academy
Founder
Founded ACTS Academy with a vision to unite rigorous theological education and practical mission. A theologian and educator, he championed holistic discipleship that engages church, society, and creation with the gospel.
Vice Chancellor
As Vice Chancellor, Dr. Richard provides spiritual and academic oversight for ACTS Academy. He mentors faculty and students, shapes curriculum, and ensures that every programme remains rooted in Scripture, mission-focused, and contextually relevant.
CEO
As CEO of ACTS Group, Mr. Santosh leads the strategic development, partnerships, and operations of ACTS Academy. With a burden for young people, he works to connect theological training with real-world needs, raising servant influencers for society.
